Social Policies

Topkapi Printing’s Social Compliance Policy is based on our core values and principles, and is developed through teamwork with all of our stakeholders. Our goal is to make Topkapi Printing’s Social Compliance Policy a part of our corporate culture. For this reason, social compliance standards have been developed and implemented.

 

In addition to creating products and services with social compliance standards, this policy commits to fulfilling the following goals:

  • Providing all of our employees with all of the rights they are entitled to under the law
  • Complying with occupational health and safety rules
  • Being environmentally conscious
  • Creating a work environment where employees are respected and valued

Social compliance policy is communicated to all of our employees through training, and our suppliers are informed and evaluated against these criteria. Under this policy, no disciplinary action is taken against employees who raise their concerns, worries, or complaints, and they can report these concerns and worries through any communication channel.

1. Forced Labor (Voluntary Work)

Our workplace prohibits all forms of forced labor, including prison labor, apprenticeship contracts, debt-based labor, military labor or slave labor, and all forms of human trafficking. Work cannot be done outside of the working hours specified in the law (overtime/overtime). Overtime work cannot be done without the consent of the employee. The company cannot prevent or delay the employee’s resignation except for any security reason. All of our employee’s information is protected and kept confidential to the extent specified by the laws.

2. Child Labor (Underage Workers)

Our workplace complies with the minimum age provisions of applicable laws and regulations. Our workplace prohibits the employment of persons under the age of 18 in all positions. Our workplace’s ban on child labor is in accordance with the Labor Law, the Occupational Health and Safety Law, and other applicable legislation and International Labor Organization standards.

3. Discrimination (Equal Approach)

Our workplace values all of our employees and the contributions they make. We have a strong commitment to fighting discrimination and ensuring equal opportunity. As management, we are committed to maintaining our organization as a place free from discrimination or physical or verbal harassment, based on race, gender, color, nationality, social origin, language, religion, age, disability, political views, migrant workers, or any other protected status under applicable laws. Personnel selection for our workplace is based on minimum qualifications such as open position, education, interests, skills, and work experience.

4. Working Hours and Wages (Salary / Wage / Payments)

Our workplace pays our employees competitive wages in line with the sectoral and local labor market. Our practices are carried out in full compliance with the laws and employment contracts on wages, working hours, overtime, and allowances.

5. Health and Safety

Our company ensures the creation and preservation of a safe and healthy workplace environment. We aim to maintain our sustainability by creating a work environment where our employees can work safely, healthily, and productively, minimizing the risk of exposure to any factors that threaten their accidents, injuries, and health. A work environment free of violence, pressure, harassment, threats, and disturbing conditions is provided in our company.

6. Society and Stakeholder Commitment

Our company commits to building good faith relationships with our stakeholders by listening to their views, gaining information from their views, and taking their views into account. In this context, we determine employee representatives in accordance with the legal regulations and create an environment where employees can discuss their problems with the representatives, and we enable them to report them in writing to the notification boxes. We commit to building a dialogue with our stakeholders, when appropriate, on issues related to the workplace and within the scope of our influence, including workplace rights.

7. Foreign Worker Employment (Employment of Foreign Workers)

Topkapi Printing complies with all applicable laws and regulations governing the employment of foreign workers. Foreign workers are not subject to forced labor or debt bondage, and they are paid fair wages and benefits. They are also provided with the same occupational health and safety protections as other employees.

8. Human Trafficking

Topkapi Printing prohibits all forms of human trafficking, including the recruitment, transportation, harboring, or receiving of persons by means of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of exploitation.

9. Rest Days and Holidays

Topkapi Printing provides all employees with at least one day of rest per week and at least five days of paid vacation per year. Employees are also entitled to paid holidays and other leave as required by law.

10. Recruitment and Employment

Topkapi Printing recruits and employs employees on a non-discriminatory basis. Employment decisions are made in accordance with the company’s merit-based hiring practices and applicable laws.

11. Employment Contract (Employer Contract)

Topkapi Printing enters into employment contracts with all employees that clearly define the terms and conditions of employment. These contracts include, but are not limited to, the employee’s job title, duties, compensation, benefits, and termination rights.

12. Employee Discipline

Topkapi Printing has a fair and impartial employee discipline policy that is applied consistently to all employees. Employees are given the opportunity to explain their behavior before any disciplinary action is taken.

13. Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Issues

Topkapi Printing is committed to protecting the environment and the health and safety of its employees. The company has implemented a comprehensive environmental management system and occupational health and safety program.

14. Compliance with Customs Legislation

Topkapi Printing complies with all applicable customs legislation. The company ensures that all imports and exports are declared and cleared through customs in accordance with the law.

15. Respect for the Right to Organize, Unionize, and Collective Bargaining (Freedom of Association)

Topkapi Printing respects the right of employees to organize, unionize, and bargain collectively. The company does not discriminate against employees who exercise their right to organize.

16. Adhering to Ethical Principles

Topkapi Printing adheres to all applicable laws and regulations governing ethical conduct. The company prohibits bribery, corruption, and other unethical behavior.
